If you dream about a quick meal, which also contains protein, fats and carbohydrates, and in addition is delicious – you’ve come to the right place. Our latest discovery is brilliant: toast from sweet potato!

This time we suggest toast with avocado, but they also taste well with Mexican guacamole, peanut butter and banana, or with hummus and vegetables. Only your imagination limits you. As usual with our rules – everything is simple, fast and not complicated – what more could you want!

Toast from sweet potatoes is a great diet, and they bring a whole new flavour – it’s worth a try!

Ingredients for sweet potato toast with avocado:

  • 2 medium-size sweet potatoes
  • 1 avocado
  • 3-4 tbsp of oil (you can use any liquid oil you like: olive oil, sunflower seed oil etc.)
  • 1 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp of you favourite herbs (basil, thyme, rosemary, oregano)
  • pinch of salt


  1. Wash the sweet potatoes and cut into oblong parts.
  2. Mix the oil, powdered garlic, salt and herbs. Grease and rub the sweet potatoes slices with the oil mixture and set aside for few minutes.
  3. Insert the slices into the toaster. If you do not have a toaster, you may use a barbeque/grill (electric or standard). Sweet potatoes need a lot more time than bread, we kept ours for at least 10 minutes – constantly controlling what they look like. They are supposed to be soft so we check with a fork.
  4. If you do not have a toaster or barbeque/grill, put the potato slices in the oven (heated up to 180 degrees) for 20 minutes flipping them halfway through.
  5. Serve them with avocado slices on top. You can also use Mexican guacamole or any other topping of your choice.
