You have no idea what to prepare as a side dish for you meal? We have a perfect solution for you – roasted maple and nutmeg carrots. Great addition to every meal and a family favourite. Enjoy! 

Ingredients for roasted maple and nutmeg carrots:

  • 1kg of carrots,
  • 100 ml of Maple syrup
  • 1 tsp of Rock Salt
  • 1 tsp of Nutmeg
  • 100 ml of Olive or Coconut oil

Method:

6-8 portions

  1. Heat up the oven to 180 degrees.
  2. Wash and peel your carrot and then chopped them in a bite size pieces.
  3. Add the chopped carrots, oil, maple syrup, and salt into glass roasting pans, and chuck them into the oven for 30 minutes or until soft and you can stick a fork in it. Take this opportunity to throw in the garlic (we usually put in a whole one, as we use the garlic to make other dishes).
  4. Serve in a bowl and garnish with fresh parsley, basil or thyme, whatever you have on hand.
