Today we have Shrove Tuesday or in simple words Pancake Tuesday (in some other regions also known as Mardi Gras). If you don’t know it basically it is the day in February or March immediately preceding Ash Wednesday (the first day of Lent), which is celebrated in some countries by consuming pancakes. In the eastern countries, the celebration called Maslenitsa continues the entire week, when people east crepes with different fillings.

Not that we need an excuse to eat pancakes but we are definitely down with celebrating it in style. Therefore we have gathered here for you our pancakes recipes. Enjoy!

Fluffy American pancakes

Easy pancakes, and not too messy to make! You can mix everything in a plastic sports shaker like we did to minimize the mess, if not, just a regular mixing bowl will be fine. And use the same pan you used to melt the butter to cook the pancakes in too. We all hate dishes, so I recommend this highly.

Fluffy blueberry pancakes

This is a perfect option for a weekend breakfast. You can enjoy these pancakes now in the summer (with fresh blueberries) or in winter (using frozen ones). The secret to making them fluffy – the beaten egg whites. They add extra air and lightness, so they turn out fluffy every time.
