We have prepared for you a few of our ideas on how to decorate your Mazurek with some toppings but not only. You can use these ideas and mix them with any cake you like. So go have a look and choose your favourite cake toppings.
Idea 1 – White chocolate and cranberries topping
Ingredients:
- 3 bars of white chocolate
- 100ml of cream (30% or 36%)
- 150g of dried cranberries
Method:
- In a large pot boil water and put in a smaller pot inside. Make sure the water can’t get into the smaller pot. (if you have u can use a special pot for melting down chocolate if you have it but this is our tip how to craft one yourself). Lower the heat to low to just keep the water hot not boiling.
- In the smaller pot add the cream and chocolate (break it to smaller pieces for faster results) and mix it with a spoon or an eggbeater.
- When all chocolate is melted pour it over cooled down cake.
- Then sprinkle some cranberries on top.
Idea 2 – Cream pomade and caramelized oranges top pi ng
Ingredients:
- 500g sugar (white will be best here)
- 200ml cream (12% or 18%)
- 1 vanilla sugar
Few slices of caramelized oranges (you can find a recipe for a homemade caramelized oranges here)
Method:
- Put all ingredients (except oranges) in a pot and heat them up (but not boil them) on low to medium heat for about 10-15 minutes or until the pomade will become slightly thicker (remember the pomade will thicken up when it’s cooled down)
- Pour it over cooled down cake.
- Put the caramelized oranges on top.
Idea 3 – Butterscotch and coconut flakes toppi ng
Ingredients:
- Butterscotch
- 50g Coconut flakes
Method:
- Spread the butterscotch evenly over the cooled down cake
- Sprinkle it with some coconut flakes (you can use any other type of nuts that you have just make sure they are not big chunks e.g. sliced almonds would be a great substitute)
