What is associated with BBQ? Well, for sure BBQ time with grilled meat. However, the barbecue recipes do not have to be limited to the main dishes and sandwiches.

Have you ever eaten a salad with a bbq dip? How about an omelette? Oh, the best recipe is a dip served with vegetables.
You must try it! A light dish, ready in a few minutes. A perfect snack not only for outside BBQ.

Ingredients for BBQ dip:

  • 1 large tomato
  • 4 plums
  • 4 tbsp plum jam
  • 2 tbsp of sugar
  • 1 tbsp of butter
  • 1 tbsp of honey (or maple syrup)
  • 1 tbsp of soy sauce
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 2 tsp of finely grated onion
  • 1 tsp of cayenne pepper or chilli pepper

Method:

  1. Peel tomato from the skin, chop into cubes.
  2. Chop the plums removing seeds.
  3. Grate garlic and onion.
  4. Take a saucepan. Put butter inside, grated garlic and grated onion. Fry everything for a minute on low heat then add sliced ​​tomatoes, plums, sugar, honey, soy sauce, cayenne pepper or chilli pepper.
  5. Cook on high heat for 15 minutes until the sauce becomes thick. Put away from the heat, mix with plum jam. Mix everything with a blender to form a homogeneous mass.

Now just cut vegetables, such as celery, carrot and cucumber into long thin strips. Serve dip with the vegetables. And your guest will be more than satisfied!
